    Guwahati → Dirang / Sangti Valley

    Leave the Brahmaputra plains behind and cross into Arunachal at Bhalukpong. The road climbs past waterfalls and river gorges to the quiet valley of Dirang.

    Dirang → Tawang

    The day of the high road. Climb to Sela Pass and its frozen-blue lake, pause at Jaswant Garh, then descend to the thundering Nuranang Falls before reaching Tawang.
